This cocktail is perfect for any weekend, but especially this weekend, no matter where you are in the country. The weather is CRAZY everywhere. We had a little spring, and now it is back to snowing. Mother nature is having a hard time totally transitioning into spring and letting go of winter. So, while it is snowing and blooming, this cocktail is the perfect blend of winter and spring. Pear + Rosemary + Pineapple = a snowy spring day in April
Pear, Pineapple, and Rosemary Spring Spritzer
Ingredients
serves 1 (easily multiplied)
1 1/2 oz pear vodka
1 oz simple syrup*
6 fl oz pineapple juice
club soda
rosemary
Method
Place half a sprig of rosemary in the bottom of a cocktail shaker (or glass) and crush with a pestle, rolling pin, or the end of a wooden spoon.
Add vodka, simple syrup and pineapple juice. Shake, strain and pour in glass over ice.
Top drink with soda and garnish with rosemary. Enjoy!
*optional (if you want it little less sweet) – simple syrup is just equal parts sugar and water, boiled until the sugar has dissolved and then cooled. I do 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water at a time and save it in the refrigerator
